PIEF has partnered with the Monash School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (SPHPM) in the delivery of the postgraduate pathway program.
SPHPM at Monash University is one of the largest public health research and education facilities in the Asia-Pacific region. SPHPM combines real-world expertise in public and private insurance sectors with flexible course designs delivered in a supportive and collegial learning environment.
Through this partnership, PIEF and Monash create a unique, flexible offering that leads into a postgraduate pathway for people employed in the workers’ compensation and motor accident compensation schemes in Australia, New Zealand and globally. This pathway will provide industry participants with the opportunity to enrich and enhance the depth of personal injury and disability insurance management knowledge and skills and prepare them to become future leaders in this valuable industry.
Compensable Health and Medicine Post Graduate Study
Learn about the unique clinical and administrative challenges faced by clinicians providing care to people navigating workers’ compensation and motor vehicle crash compensation systems. Healthcare practitioners play a pivotal role in the care of people with injuries arising from workplace events or motor vehicle crashes. The injuries and their consequences, and the associated personal injury compensation systems, can be complex.
This course is ideal for general practitioners, physiotherapists, psychologists, occupational therapists and other allied health professionals involved in the delivery of care for those with a compensable injury.
