Impairment Assessment Training

PIEF delivers training in impairment assessment using the American Medical Association Guides to support the accreditation of Health Practitioners assessing permanent impairment across NSW Workers' Compensation and Motor Accident schemes for the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA).

The program covers specific training for each NSW scheme aligned with respective editions of the American Medical Association (AMA) Guides. 

• Workers’ Compensation Scheme -  AMA Guide to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (5th edition)

• Motor Accident Scheme -  AMA Guide to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (4th Edition)

The training involves completing the Core module (mandatory) and at least one elective.
