RTW Intensive Workshop

Return to Work is widely agreed to be a key component to recovery.  Nonetheless, it can be challenging for both employers and employees, to achieve sustainable and meaningful return to work.  The RTW Intensive Workshop provided an opportunity to discuss the importance of return to work, to learn new methods and techniques for achieving and supporting return to work, and to workshop through issues and challenges as a collaborative group of practitioners.

Utilising the facilitators of PIEF's Return to Work Management Training Program and featuring Dr. Richard Pimentel this unique and interactive training workshop on return to work featured the following topics:


 
  • Understanding Federal legislation impacting on return to work
  • Understanding the Australian Human Rights framework
  • Working with Human Resources and line managers to achieve return to work outcomes
  • Establishing an effective injury management program
  • How Return to Work Coordinators can build resilience
  • Mental health and return to work
  • Managing conflict in a return to work situation
  • Promoting a return to work culture
  • Evaluating the return to work process.
