Understanding Accident Compensation
The program, Understanding Accident Compensation in Australia and New Zealand is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of workers' compensation schemes and compulsory third party insurance and aims to give participants a better understanding of how accident compensation schemes work across Australia and New Zealand. The module includes information on the way that each scheme deals with key aspects such as the size and nature of the schemes, coverage, benefits, self-insurance, common law and dispute resolution.
The module will provide a comprehensive overview of:
- Information on accident compensation models currently in existence
- Information on the evolution of workers' compensation schemes in Australia and New Zealand
- workers' compensation insurance
- information on the evolution of compulsory third party insurance in Australia and New Zealand
- compulsory third party insurance
- information on scheme funding arrangements
- information on accident compensation benefits
- information on confidentility / privacy issues.
